Join us in celebrating Independent Bookstore at Turnrow Book Co. on Saturday April 29 GREENWOOD, MISSISSIPPI -- Celebrate your favorite Independent Bookstore at Turnrow Book Co. in historic downtown Greenwood. Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. Independent bookstores are not just stores, they’re community centers and local anchors run by passionate readers. Turnrow Book Co. presents Michael Kardos, Catherine Pierce, Becky Hagenston, and the return of Jamie Kornegay to Independent Bookstore Day 2017. Turnrow will offer exclusive day-of merchandise created especially for Independent Bookstore Day by major publishers and authors. Since its inception in 2014, more than 150 authors have demonstrated their support for independent bookstores by donating work for Bookstore Day.
